At Firefly Behavioral Consulting, we take pride in being a bespoke consulting firm, serving clients who are looking for compassionate, individualized approaches. Our mission is to help neurodivergent individuals discover their strengths and find their voice. We utilize trauma-assumed and evidence-based practices to ensure the best outcomes for our clients. As passionate clinicians in the field, we keep ourselves informed of the latest advances and discoveries in applied behavior analysis.

KRISTINA MONTGOMERY

Kristina Montgomery received a B.A. in Cultural Anthropology and Women’s studies from University of Oregon and an M.A. in Applied Behavior Analysis from Columbia University Teachers College.  She is a licensed regular education teacher, licensed special education teacher, and a board certified behavior analyst. She has evolved with the field of Applied Behavior Analysis since 2002 working in home settings, community health/medical offices, community work settings, public schools, and private school with children and young adults as a teacher, consultant, program director, and supervisor. She is very passionate about parent training and involving families in meaningful ways, as well as training professionals to apply Essential for Living skills and designing event-based learning opportunities.

EMILY 
BEAL WILKINSON

Emily Beal Wilkinson received a B.A. in Communication Studies from California State University, Northridge, in 2001. She then earned an M.S. degree from the University of Southern California, in 2008, while working in their disability services office and their student athlete academic support department. Prior to entering into ABA practice full-time, she specialized in supporting individuals with dyslexia and other learning disabilities, working for Lindamood-Bell Learning Processes for three years before becoming a Learning Specialist in the athletic department at the University of Oregon. After leaving Division I athletics, she began working again with individuals with autism, using ABA and ACT, and became a BCBA in 2016. Along with her colleague, Kristina Montgomery, she has been made an Ambassador for the Essential for Living assessment and curriculum and uses her experience with this tool to create meaningful, event-based learning for K-12 students at Victory Academy in Portland, Oregon. She now runs Victory Academy's Health and Wellness Program and has partnered with numerous healthcare providers to support student success in exams and critical routines.

JADE
REY

Jade graduated from University of California, San Diego with a BS in Cognitive Science with an emphasis on Neuroscience. He began his career in ABA in 2014 working for a company providing clinic, home, and school services for Autistic children ages 2-12 in California. After getting married and moving to Portland, Oregon Jade began working at a private school for children with ASD and related disorders for the past 7 years. Jade graduated in 2018 from Ball State University with an MA in Special Education with a focus on Applied Behavior Analysis and became a Board Certified Behavior Analyst in 2019. Jade has primarily worked with elementary aged students between the ages of 5- 12. Jade’s passions include working on Theory of Mind, Perspective taking, event based learning using the Essentials for Living, and utilizing the Skills Based Treatment.

DANIELLE
VERNON

Danielle graduated from Loyola Marymount University with a BA in Psychology and began her career in ABA in 2012 working for a private company providing services in schools and homes. After moving to Portland, Oregon in 2015, Danielle spent 8 years working at a private school for children with ASD and related developmental disorders. Some of her passions include teaching skills that are meaningful across a person’s lifetime development and generalizing skills to families and other caregivers. Surrounded by a large group of mentors and friends in the ABA field, Danielle appreciates that her day to day does not feel like she is a practitioner working on an island; her professional support system is something she is so grateful for. Danielle graduated from Endicott College with a BS in Applied Behavior Analysis with a concentration in Mental Health and looks forward to working with professionals that extend beyond the field of ABA, providing quality coordination of care to all her clients.
